— On Your Side —

We Fight for the
Claim, Not Against You

Warranty companies review every claim looking for a reason to say no. A vague diagnosis or missing paperwork is all it takes for a legitimate repair to get denied.

That’s why we build the case before we ever call. We pin down exactly what failed and why, back it up with evidence, and push for the full repair your contract is supposed to cover. If an adjuster pushes back, we push back too.

Scan Data

Fault codes and freeze-frame data showing what happened at the moment of failure.

Photos

Clear photos of the failed part and the damage, before anything is replaced.

Test Results

Pressure, compression and electrical tests that confirm the diagnosis.

Written Estimate

Itemized parts and labor, so the warranty company can’t quietly cut the job short.

— How It Works —

Your Claim in Four Steps

01

Drop Off

Bring the car and your warranty contract or policy number. We confirm your coverage and deductible up front.

02

Diagnose

We find the root cause and document it with scan data, test results and photos.

03

We Handle the Call

We send the evidence and estimate to the warranty company, answer the adjuster’s questions and get the repair authorized.

04

Repair

Once it’s approved, we fix it right. You pay your deductible and anything your contract doesn’t cover.

How Long Does Approval Take?

1–3 business days

Component Repairs

Parts like alternators, starters, water pumps, AC compressors and sensors are usually approved quickly once the diagnosis is documented.

3–7+ business days

Engines & Transmissions

Major powertrain claims take longer. The warranty company may send an inspector or require a teardown before approving. We plan for that up front and keep you posted.

Timelines are typical, not guaranteed. The warranty company sets the pace, and we push to keep it moving.

— Know Before You Sign —

What Is a Teardown
Authorization?

When an engine or transmission fails internally, the warranty company usually won’t approve a repair until someone opens it up and shows them what broke. Taking it apart costs labor, and they’ll ask you to sign off on that teardown first.

Here’s the catch: if the teardown shows a covered failure, that labor is typically paid as part of the claim. If the claim is denied, the teardown labor is usually yours to pay. That’s why we run every test we can from the outside first, and walk you through the odds before you sign anything.

Usually covered if approved

  • The failed part your contract covers
  • Labor to repair or replace it
  • Teardown labor, when the failure is covered

Usually your cost

  • Your deductible
  • Parts or failures your contract excludes
  • Teardown labor, if the claim is denied

— Common Denials —

Why Claims Get Denied
& How We Respond

Denial Reason

“Pre-Existing Condition”

The adjuster claims the problem started before your coverage did.

Our response: scan data and physical evidence showing a sudden failure, not a slow one that was already there.

Denial Reason

“Lack of Maintenance”

The adjuster blames skipped oil changes or missing service records.

Our response: your service history plus inspection findings that show what actually caused the failure.

Denial Reason

“Only the Part That Broke”

They approve the failed part but refuse the damage it caused to everything around it.

Our response: documenting how the failure spread, and pointing to what your contract says about resulting damage.

— Parts Matter —

We Don’t Bolt On
Junk Parts

To save money, warranty companies often send the cheapest part they can find: a salvage-yard pull or a bargain rebuild. Plenty of shops install whatever shows up. We don’t.

What the warranty company may send

  • Used or salvage parts
  • The lowest-cost rebuilt unit available
  • No inspection before it ships

How Zeus handles it

  • Every part inspected when it arrives
  • Bad parts photographed, documented and sent back
  • We push for quality rebuilt or OEM parts when your contract allows

Warranty Questions

Do I have to take my car to the dealership?

Usually not. Most third-party service contracts let you choose any licensed repair shop. Check your contract, or call us and we’ll look at it with you.

What will I have to pay?

Typically your deductible, plus anything your contract doesn’t cover, like maintenance items or excluded parts. We go over this with you before any work starts.

How long does approval take?

It depends on the warranty company and the repair. Simple component repairs can be approved quickly, while major engine or transmission claims often take longer and may require an inspection. We keep you updated the whole way.

What happens if my claim is denied?

We stop and explain your options before anything else happens. We’ll share the documentation we collected, help you appeal if it makes sense, or quote the repair so you can decide. We don’t do work you haven’t approved.

Can the warranty company send used or cheaper parts?

Some contracts allow used or remanufactured parts. We inspect every part before it goes on your car, and if something isn’t right, we document it and push back.

Is this the same as my factory warranty?

No. Repairs under the original manufacturer’s warranty are normally handled by the dealer. This page is about extended warranties and service contracts from third-party companies.

Zeus Performance is an independent repair shop and is not affiliated with any warranty company. Coverage, deductibles and approval are determined by your contract and your warranty provider.
